Stephen Wayne Comstock

Stephen Wayne Comstock, 57, of Manhattan Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by love on November 27th 2021. Steve fought a long battle against his body but won his fight against cancer that day -- because although it may have taken his body - it could never conquer his heart or his spirit.

Steve was a military man, a music man, a sports man, but most importantly a family man. Everything he did in this life was to be the best husband and father he could be. Steve spent 20 selfless years in the US Army and spent even more time than that being a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan which he ensured to pass along to his children. He will always be remembered by the smile picking up one of his guitars gave him, the love he had for his family, and the idea that everyone is measured in life not by who they say they are - but by what they do - so do your best.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Comstock, whom he believed his soul was sent to love. His 4 children who unwaveringly adored him. Richard Comstock, Virginia Behrendt, Christopher Comstock, Cameron Comstock and his 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Paige and his brother Richard Comstock.

“To live on in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die.”

The celebration of life for family and friends will be held at Moro Venue at 1115 Moro St Manhattan KS 66502 on December, 22, 2021 at 5:30 pm. In honor of Steve, please wear your favorite Kansas City Chiefs gear or any of the chiefs colors.
