
Scott David Cronin, 43, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 27, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas, following a brief illness.
Scott was born on March 27, 1982, in Honolulu, Hawaii and was raised in Dwight, Kansas by his parents Daniel and Cynthia Cronin. Scott graduated from Council Grove High School before attending Kansas State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.
Scott began his career working for the City of Manhattan in the Housing Rehabilitation Department. He later founded his own business, Swiftwater Irrigation Company, and later worked for Elevate 114 Apartments of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
He had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time outdoors. Scott enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, listening to music, building model cars, and fixing things. He cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Jessie.
Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaret Langley and Lawrence Lazear, and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Joe Cronin. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Cindy Cronin; his sister, Kendra Williams (Damien); his brother, Jordan Cronin (Jenni); and his nieces, Ashlee and Madison Williams.
Scott will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Friday, November 7th, at First Congregational Church, Council Grove, with Pastor Christy Alexander officiating.
