Riley County health provides COVID-19 information

Riley County has identified ten new positive coronavirus cases and 13 additional recoveries since the last report on February 19, 2021. 

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan is caring for two positive patients, one of whom is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 

Vaccination Updates: 

This week, the Health Department will continue vaccinating those 65 and older on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday it will administer “boosters”, second doses, to individuals who were vaccinated between December 22 and February 4th. 

The Health Department hopes to complete Phase 2 and move onto Phase 3 in early March. Phase 3 includes those 64 to 18 with severe health conditions.

              Fully vaccinated: 2,130

              Received first vaccine: 4,885 

              Vaccine Requests: 19,147 (for all phases)

Testing Update 

The county is announcing that the WellHealth free COVID-19 testing has reopened at a new location. Saliva-based testing will be offered at 419 Holiday Drive in Manhattan daily through March 20, except Sundays, holidays, and inclement weather days.
