Wilma C. Schoendaller, 93, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Via Christi Village in Manhattan, Kansas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Kerry Ninemire officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home followed with a rosary at 7 p.m. The burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Wilma was born the oldest of three children to John G. and Margaret (Koerner) Befort on July 8, 1930, in Ellis County, Kansas. Growing up on the farm, Wilma learned early on the importance of hard work. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting along with embroidery work. Wilma was married to Adam J. Schoendaller on October 10, 1949, at Munjor, Kansas. To this union four children were born: Lou Ann, Betty, Mary, and Larry.
Wilma is survived by one sister, Georgine Staab of Hays, Kansas; three daughters, Lou Ann Milleson of Chapman, Kansas, Betty Anders of Junction City, Kansas, and Mary (Jim) Stites of Junction City, Kansas; one daughter-in-law, Brenda (Rod) Gfeller of Junction City, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Cathy Fahey, Dano Milleson, Dusty Milleson, Kevin Cain, Ryan Anders, Andy Stites, Adam Stites, and Molly Vacanti; twelve great- grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren. Wilma was preceded by her parents, husband, son; sister, Verna Herl; two sons-in-law, Don Anders and Danny Milleson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to St. Xavier Catholic Church.
