Frank James Beer, 82, of Manhattan, KS, passed away, Monday evening, November 15th, at Ascension Via Christi Health Hospital.

Frank entered this life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 11, 1939, the son of the late Barbara (Wendelberger) and Frank Joseph Beer. He was joined in marriage to Margery Ann (Melk) Beer.on April 17, 1959, in Milwaukee. He attended the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Aperture Junction, AZ, Junction City, and also in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Frank was a grocery store owner for many years.

Frank is survived by his wife, Margery of the home; a daughter, Kathleen Hammond, of Waupaca, Wisconsin; three sons Frank James Beer, III, of Manhattan; Thomas Beer, of Appleton, Wisconsin; Joel Beer, of New London, Wisconsin. Frank is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sons: Mark & Michael; his sisters: Virginia Beck and Eleanor Zimmerman.  

The Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, Manhattaqn, is assisting the family.
