Storm cleanup continues in Manhattan

Manhattan Public Works crews have hauled 300 truckloads of storm debris to the dump site last week and will continue cleanup this week, following a process similar to the annual spring cleanup.

The City said that residents should place storm debris at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their neighborhood’s scheduled pickup day, as crews will make only one pass through each area. Delays are possible depending on debris volume. Residents who miss pickup can take residential yard waste to the Riley County Transfer Station, 1881 Henton Road, at no charge.
