RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating alleged theft by deception in Manhattan.
Just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report of theft by deception and making false information in the 1100 block of Vattier Street, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 31-year-old man when reported a known subject fraudulently issued a lease to the victim and secured a deposit from him falsely. Total loss associated with this report is $1,500.
