Bradley Harold Becker, 66, of Alta Vista, Kansas passed away unexpectedly, January 3, 2022, at his home, with his family by his side.

Brad was born August 26, 1955, in Wichita, KS, to Harold and Elaine (Baier) Becker. He graduated from St. Xavier High School, Junction City in 1974 and from KSU in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Brad married Elaine Ascher on February 2, 1985, and they had a son, Shawn.

He learned carpentry and construction from working with his dad. Brad found his career in cattle and ranching. He along with Elaine, operated a cow/calf operation. He also worked many years at area sale barns. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Alma.

He was preceded in death by his father Harold; grandparents: Frank and Agnes Baier and Joseph and Mary Becker; nephew Daniel Becker; sister-in-law Pam Becker; and infant brother John Becker.

Brad is survived by his wife Elaine and son Shawn Becker, of the home; mother Elaine Becker, of Junction City; brother: Jeff Becker and wife Teresa, of Milford; sister Judy Lienemann and husband Joe of Atchison; nieces and nephews: Justin Becker, Mark Lienemann, Scott Lienemann and wife Ashley, Russell Sinnard and wife Crystal and their children, Rylinn and Carson. Brad will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services were today (Jan 6th) at St. John Lutheran Church, Alma with burial  at Templin Cemetery, Alta Vista. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church and School and mailed to PO Box 365, Alma, KS 66401.
