JUNCTION CITY, Kan. - According to a release from the Geary County Health Department, there have been six additional COVID-19 related deaths since the last report on December 23. This bring s the total number of casualties to 17 since the beginning of the pandemic.
No further information was released by the Geary County Health Department regarding the deaths.
Additionally, there were eight new confirmed cases within the county, bringing the total number of cases to 1,164. Of those cases, there are currently 134 active cases, up six from the last report, with nine hospitalized.
There have been two additional recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 1,019 since the beginning of the pandemic.
