We have some news to share, and we wanted you to hear the official statement straight from us: Rock The Plains 2026 is not cancelled. It is postponed. We're targeting spring 2027 for the rescheduled event, and we'll confirm the exact dates and location as soon as they're locked in.
Before anything else, we want you to know this wasn't the fault of any artist or vendor. Every one of them has been a committed partner to us through this, and none of them are responsible for this decision. It came down to circumstances on our end that we weren't able to resolve in time for this year's dates, and postponing was the option that let us protect this festival's future rather than rush forward with something less than what you deserve. That wasn't a decision we took lightly.
We also want to be honest with you about 2027: at this time, your ticket carries forward at full value and your spot is safe. However, the 2027 lineup won't look exactly like what was announced for 2026. Some of the artists you were looking forward to seeing may not be part of next year's event. We didn't want you holding onto an assumption we couldn't promise, so we wanted to say that plainly now.
We also want to explain why it's taken time for you to hear this directly. Before we could make this announcement, we needed to notify artists' representatives, county personnel, first responders, and vendors. We did this not to put anyone ahead of you, but because mismanaging this with them, risked mismanaging it for you too. We wanted every part of this to be accurate before it reached you. That took longer than we wished, and we're sorry for the wait.
We know this isn't what you were expecting, and we know many of you made plans, took time off, and built excitement around this year's dates. We don't take that lightly, and we're truly sorry for the disruption this causes.
We want to say something from the heart here. We're just a group of local guys who set out a few years ago to build something we believed the Flint Hills deserved: not a corporate festival, but something that felt like home. Every artist and every vendor who's worked with us through this has shown us more grace and understanding than we could've asked for. That means everything to us, and we won't forget it.
We know this is hard to hear, and we want you to know that we're just as heartbroken about this as you are. Please be kind to each other as we work through this together.

At this time, your ticket purchase automatically carries forward to 2027 at full value, you don't have to do anything to hold your spot. This includes VIP.

We built this festival from nothing, with this community, for this community. We're not walking away from that, and we won't let one hard year for live music be the end of the story. In fact, a lot of our vendor partners and key personnel have already committed to joining us in 2027, and we're grateful for that continued trust. We're already working on a 2027 lineup we're proud of, and we're going to make it worth the wait.
