Jane Elaine Lamb, age 68, of rural St. George, died February 26, 2024, at her residence.

She was born February 1, 1956, in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Millard and Leola (Bond) Murray.

Jane graduated from Lawrence High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Kansas State University. On July 22, 1978, she was married to Steve Lamb.

She was a long-time 4-H leader for Bonfire 4-H, was the Riley County Goat Superintendent, and had the honor of being a Life Member of ADGA. She was a member of the St. George United Methodist Church. She provided daycare in her home and had a home cleaning business for several years. She also enjoyed all sports, especially her K-State Wildcats.

Jane loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She was the loudest cheerleader at all of their events. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting weekly family nights for the whole family.

Steve survives of the home. Additional survivors include her three sons: Barry Lamb, his wife Samantha, Brian Lamb, and Jake Lamb, his wife Lacee; honorary daughter Kachina Gerber and her husband Brandon all of St. George; four siblings: Dennis Murray, Gary Murray, Kathy Hamilton and Jean Eberhart; and nine grandchildren: Logan and Skylar Lamb, Brooklynn, Paislee and McKenna Lamb, Bailee and Ethan Lamb, and Justin and Rylinn Gerber.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Mike Murray.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 4th at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel with Pastor Leslye Haller officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date in the St. George Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 3rd, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.
