According to the City of Manhattan, mill and overlay repairs on Fort Riley Boulevard, from Poliska Lane to Westwood Road, will now begin June 29 due to a delayed reopening of Anderson Avenue. This project is expected to take about six to eight weeks, depending on the condition of the road beneath the top layer of asphalt.
Traffic Impacts: Fort Riley Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Phase 1 will close the outer lanes and access to Westwood Road will be restricted, with a detour route available on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
Phase 2 will close the inside lanes and access to Westwood Road will become right in/right out only.
Sidewalks in this area will remain open and accessible.
