The city of Manhattan’s modified mask policy starts today. Last week, city manager Ron Fehr made the decision to modify the recently reinstated mask mandate for city facilities. Just three days after it started, Fehr amended the policy to apply only to city employees inside city-operated facilities. Visitors entering facilities are still strongly encouraged to wear masks, but will not be required. This change will go into effect January 3, 2022.
Masks are still required at the Manhattan Regional Airport per federal regulations.
