DICKINSON COUNTY—Two Kansas teens were injured in an accident during a police pursuit just after 11:30p.m. Tuesday in Dickinson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Mazda CX-30 driven by C Robert J. Cooper, 16, Wichita, fleeing from Dickinson County Sheriff deputies southbound on Kansas 15 just north of 1100 Road.
The driver attempted to make a right turn onto 1100 Avenue. The car failed to complete the turn, traveled off the road to the right, struck a culvert and came to a rest in a field.
EMS transported Cooper and a passenger Carson Sibley, 14, Wichita, to the hospital in Abilene. They were properly restrained at the time of the accident. The KHP did nor teported what prompted the chase or possible charges.
