RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured and another arrested after an accident that occurred just before 10p.m. Saturday in Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police Deparatment activity report, a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Hanna Marie Helget, 20, of Westmorland rear-ended a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle ridden by Ryder Rice, 20, of Fort Riley near Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Marlatt Avenue.
Rice was transported to Via Christi Hospital for injuries. Helget was arrested at approximately 10:36 p.m. for one count of aggravated battery; DUI causing bodily harm and one count of driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
Helget met the requirement of $20,000 bond and is no longer in jail.
