Furniture Amnesty Day returns this starting at 8 a.m. in City Park, offering Manhattan residents a simple way to donate, claim, or help distribute gently used furniture — for free.
This event is about neighbors helping neighbors. Here’s how to take part:
- Donate: Have up to five (5) furniture items to give away? You can either:Sign up for curbside pickup (available only within city limits) by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, orDrop your items off at Miller Field from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25

- Drop your items off at Miller Field from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25
- Volunteer: Helping hands make this day possible. Sign up for a 3-hour shift through HandsOn K-State. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
- Shop for free: Registration begins at 8 a.m. July 25 in City Park, and shopping runs in 15-minute time slots from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can take up to five (5) items. But be ready to haul it home — no delivery available!
Everything left over at 4 p.m. will be open to the general public without registration. The event ends at 4:30.
