Marcia Lee Woodworth, age 70 of Manhattan, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 10, 1953, the daughter of Lloyd Richard and Beulah Bell (Busher) Woodworth.
Marcia loved helping others. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was the “grandma” to all the neighborhood kids, and they came to see her almost daily after being dropped off by the bus. She always had snacks as they waited for their parents to get home. She also loved animals, always having her little dogs and a cat. They were her four-legged babies. Marcia also absolutely loved Betty Boop.
She is survived by three children, Jeffrey Zimmerman of McFarland, Justin Zimmerman (Patrick Wilson) of Wylie, Texas and Melissa Duncan (Justin) of Topeka; four brothers, John Woodworth (Dorothy), Danny Woodworth, Richard Woodworth (Teresa) and Herbert Woodworth; one sister, Jean Schlegel (Andy); six grandchildren, Constance Zimmerman, Xandria Zimmerman, Lucas Duncan, Claire Duncan, Isabelle Duncan, and Alex Wilson, and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters-in-law, and her niece.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., April 1, 2024, at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Carnahan Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ryan White Foundation and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
