Carol Lynn Fick, 77 of Abilene passed away December 26, 2023. She was born July 16, 1946 in Abilene, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Fair) Foust. Carol grew up in the Abilene area, attended the local school and graduated from Abilene High School in 1964. On December 3, 1966 she was united in marriage to Rylan Fick. He preceded her in death November 22, 2009. She worked as a bank teller at Astra Bank, retiring in 2010. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church, Beta, and the Elks Lodge.
Carol is survived by her son, Justin Fick and wife Lana. Four grandchildren: Amanda Hebert and husband Josh; James Fick; Travis Fick and Bailey Saliger. One sister, Sandy Larson and husband Ron. Her Aunt, Jeanette Foust. Niece: Lisa Gonzales andhusband Freddy: Nephews; B.J. Larson and wife Anne; Aaron Swarts and wife Lacey; Andy Swarts. Sister-in-law; Janet Swarts and husband Roger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth “Bet” Frazier and Bennie,
Funeral services for Carol will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Abilene First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, rural Abilene. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home.
