Mary Jane Schmutz

Mary Jane Schmutz, 78, Junction City, Kansas passed away on Monday, December 1, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Alida Cemetery.  A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the organization of the donor's choice.

Mary was born June 10, 1944, in Council Grove, Kansas the daughter of Roy P. and Lillian L. (Davies) Schmutz.

Mary was a homemaker. She was an avid bingo player. Mary was a very generous, kind, loving and good hearted person who would help anyone.

Survivors include one son, Alvin Babcock and wife Lisa of Junction City, Kansas; four daughters, Nora Otte and her husband Stan of Dwight, Kansas, Nancy Holm and her husband Paul of Junction City, Kansas, Terry Rosenthal and her husband Tony of Wichita, Kansas and Ella Ramos of Trona, California; two brothers, Oliver Schmutz of Junction City, Kansas and George Schmutz of Atascadero, California; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Loretta Downing; two sisters, Ruth Frink and Helen Neef; three brothers, Glenn Schmutz, David Schmutz and Johnnie Schmutz; and one granddaughter, Zaley Ramos.
