On Tuesday, the Mayor proclaimed January 9, 2026 as Brenda K. Wolf Day in Manhattan, Kansas.After more than three decades of exemplary service to the City of Manhattan, they celebrated Brenda Wolf for a career defined by professionalism, integrity, and steadfast commitment to the public good.
Brenda served as Deputy City Clerk for over 25 years and City Clerk for six years, providing the leadership, continuity, and institutional knowledge that keep the municipal government running smoothly. A trusted advisor to elected and appointed officials, staff, and residents, she has been a cornerstone of City Hall—known for her expertise in municipal processes, skill in navigating complex matters, and solutions‑oriented approach.
Throughout her tenure, Brenda played a vital role in administering City Commission meetings; managing official records, ordinances, resolutions, and contracts; and safeguarding transparency, accuracy, and compliance with state and local requirements. Her dedication also extended beyond the office, where she consistently supported colleagues and the broader community through generosity, mentorship, and example.
