MSG (RET) Timothy Ray "Tim" Brunton

MSG (RET) Timothy Ray "Tim" Brunton, 62, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Morris Hill Chapel on Fort Riley. Burial will follow the funeral on Tuesday with full military honors at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.

He was born July 2, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio the son of Ed and Ella May (Spillman) Brunton. Tim enlisted in the military at the age of 20 and faithfully served his country for 24 years, 1 month and 7 days. After retiring, Tim continued his civil service career with 1st Infantry Division Headquarters at Fort Riley for 18 years.

Tim was an avid fisherman Spending many hours on his boat and trolling the lake for the next big catch. He took solace in sitting in the garage and listening to his radio when he wasn’t fixated on perfecting his yard.

He is survived by his cherished wife Hope of 25 years; children, Melissa (James) Mushak of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Melanie (Chris) Noble of Peyton, Colorado, Katie (Christian) Budeshefsky of Anchorage, Alaska, Brittany Hall of Dallas, Texas, Christina Brunton of Newport, Kentucky, and nine grandchildren, Joseph, Antonio, Justine, Sebastian, Cole, Makayla, Lucas, Christian and Savannah; one brother, Ed Brunton of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary (Mark) Alten of Murray, Kentucky and Margaret (Douglas) Conkle of Columbus, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Joy O'Connell of Grandview Plaza, Kansas.
