Barbie R. Denham, 85, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023. Cremation will take place. He was born on September 1, 1937, in Cherokee County, Alabama. Barbie honorably served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1963. On May 10, 1957, he married Chiyoko (Sasaki) Denham in Tokyo, Japan. In January 1959, Barbie and Chiyoko moved to Junction City, Kansas. Barbie was barber for the Junction City community for thirty-four years. Barbie was member of the American Legion Post #45 and was a board member for Geary County Senior Citizens and the building committee. Barbie is survived by his loving wife, Chiyoko. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Vera Denham; and his son Barbie R. Denham, Jr.
