Janet L. "Jan" Gray, 73, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas.
Jan has been cremated. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the Corgi Connection of Kansas Rescue, 406 Hawthorne Drive, Junction City, KS 66441 or to the Geary County Historical Society, 530 N. Adams Street, Junction City, KS 66441.
Jan was born December 19, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Peggy Baker.
Jan grew up living in California living with her grandparents. She moved to Junction City in 1965. She graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 1969. She attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Jan worked for Anchor Savings in Junction City. She also worked for USD 475 at the junior high and later middle school as a para professional and later as an administrative assistant with the food service and athletic departments.
Jan was a business proprietor. She owned the Persnickety Peddler and Garden Gate Antiques. She just recently opened and co-owned Simply 115 in Junction City.
Jan loved her pet corgi doggies Cooper and Murphy. She spent many hours volunteering her time with the Geary County Historical Society. Jan enjoyed being part of their cast in the murder mystery fundraising events.
In 1971, she married Brad Frazier. They later divorced. On July 28, 1990, she married Curtis L. Gray in Junction City, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband Curtis of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Josh Frazier of Chapman, Kansas; two grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden Frazier.
