MANHATTAN - Just before 6:00 pm on Wednesday, fire crews were called out to 5216 Stone Crest Drive on the report on the structure fire.
When Manhattan Fire Department crews arrived on scene, they found a one-story single-family home with a fire in the basement.

Firefighters were able to get the fire contained within 10 minutes of arriving on scene.

Nineteen firefighters on six fire apparatus responded to the fire, with the last crew leaving just after 8:00pm.
Loss due to the fire was estimated at $10,000 to contents and an additional $10,000 in damage to the structure.
The owners of the property are listed as Corey and Laverne Williamson.
The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking.
