The National Weather Service said freezing rain, sleet, and snow are expected (100%). Winds increase on today with gusts of 35-46 MPH from the north.
The entire area will be impacted. Higher snow totals are expected along and north of I-70 with higher ice accumulations along I-35.
the storm will last through tonight with the peak expected now through 6pm today. Travel will become hazardous if not impossible. Ice could cause power outages. Any power outage will be dangerous given bitterly cold weather forecast next week.
