Wamego city officials did not take action during their April 6th meeting on the City-wide face mask mandate. So, the current mandate expires this Saturday, April 10th, within the city limits of Wamego.
A resolution was adopted recommending the public remain proactive in preventing the spread of COVID by social distancing and wearing a mask when in large groups. Local businesses and property owners may still have different rules and / or regulations for their establishments.

There were six new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Pottawatomie County on Wednesday, bringing the total number of active cases to seven. There were three recovered cases. No one is hospitalized.
