Aurelio Mario Goburn

Aurelio Mario Goburn, Sr. 68, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. Church with Brother Hector Franco officiating. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.

Aurelio was born January 21, 1953, in Colón, Canal Zone, Panama the son of Eric and Rosa (Williams) Goburn.

Mr. Goburn served in the United States Marine Corp. After his military career he worked as a security supervisor at Fort Riley, KS. Aurelio was a faithful member of the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. Church where attended every Sunday. He loved attending bible studies with his wife Marianela and daughter Amaryllis. He also enjoyed riding his bike, jogging, spending time with his grandchildren, singing "Levanto Las Manos" and reading the Holy Bible. Aurelio left a legacy of love, faith in God and Family unity.

Survivors include his wife Marianela of the home in Junction City, KS; three sons, Aurelio Mario Goburn, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Anel Mario Goburn of Junction City, KS and Alexander Goburn of Landstuhl, Germany; two daughters, Amaryllis Argelis Goburn and Anais Yoidet Goburn both of Junction City, KS; five grandchildren, Mariela Rose Brown, Marianela Lavette Nix, Joseph Mario Goburn, Anel Goburn, Jr. and soon to be born Aurelio Legacy Goburn.
