Kansas felon accused of financial crimes in Manhattan

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon on new financial crimes in Manhattan.

On Tuesday, officers filed a report of financial crimes that occurred on June 15, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report. Beto’s Meat Market, 612 Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan reported a known individual unlawfully used a credit card at the business.

On Tuesday, police arrested Tiffany Fernandez, 43, of Manhattan, on requested charges of burglary, theft of property or services and criminal use of a financial card. Fernandez is being held on a $10,000 bond. She has a previous conviction for theft that occurred in 2021, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
