RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Wednesday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Ford Flex driven by Khiara A. Lawrence, 23, Junction City, was southbound on the Kansas 113 entrance ramp from Anderson Avenue in Manhattan. The SUV left the road to the west, exited the lane of travel to the right and struck a pedestrian identified as Marco V. Retamoza, 23, Garden City, who was running south on the south on the should of the entrance ramp.
EMS transported Retamoza to Stormont Vail. Lawrence was properly restrained and not injured, according to KHP.
