The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... The Flash Flood Watch is for portions of east central Kansas...north central Kansas and northeast Kansas, including the following areas, in east central Kansas, Geary. In north central Kansas, Clay, Cloud, Republic and Washington. In northeast Kansas, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie and Riley.
A very humid airmass is forecast to move into north central and
northeast Kansas overnight as thunderstorms develop. These storms
may be very efficient rainfall producers with some locations
receiving 1 to 3 inches of rain in a few hours. This rain could
lead to flash flooding.
