Jacqueline Sue Cline

Jacqueline Sue Cline, age 83, of Manhattan passed away on April 13th after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.

Jackie was born March 4, 1940, in Troy, Ohio. She is predeceased by her parents Alonzo and Irene (Wetzel) Strawser of Dayton, Ohio and her brother Grover Strawser of Biloxi, Mississippi.

After graduating school in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 1958, she was married and did extensive traveling to include living in Italy, Amsterdam, and Holland. She returned to the United States in 1970. In 1979, she was employed by K-mart Corporation as an Assistant Manager. In her position her travels continued including homes in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and California. After 25 years with the company, Jackie retired and began working as Airline Assistant for United Airlines a job she truly loved and looked forward to interacting with the travelers. In 2016 she fully retired and enjoyed relaxing watching old tv westerns and time with her dogs and cats.

After living in Kansas City, Missouri for many years, she briefly moved to Independence, Missouri and followed her daughter to Manhattan, Kansas in 2021.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Strawser of Dayton, Ohio, her three children: Robert (Lysa H.) Cline of Palmyra, PA, Steven (Lisa) Cline of Louisville, KY, and Carla (Warren K.) Craig-Koch of Manhattan; seven grandchildren: Ian Harns, Jadyn Craig, Xavier Cline, Arianna Koch, Avery Koch, Keiyara Koch and Zoey Koch; and two great-grandchildren: Balian Harns-Yan and Kira Cline; as well as her beloved cat Grey.

Jacqueline requested after cremation to have an intimate family burial at Bethel Cemetery, Clayton, Ohio. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days.
