Tina Louise Johnson, 60, of Junction City, KS passed away on February 9, 2022 at Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation, Wakefield, KS.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street, Junction City.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at New Church of the Living God, 1315 W. Ash Street, Junction City, with Bishop James E. Johnson officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to New Church of the Living God or to the ALS Association.

Tina was born on June 19, 1961 (Juneteenth) in Junction City, KS to Edward Reginald and Nellie Agnes (Magee) Johnson. She attended several local elementary schools, Junction City Middle School, and graduated from Junction City High School in 1979. In 1997, Tina graduated from Barton County Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She would later go on to work in various areas of customer service.

Tina attended New Church of the Living God in Junction City. She was baptized on October 13, 2013 under the leadership of Bishop James E. Johnson. Tina loved God and serving people.

Tina had a passion for helping others and listening to them. She was a reliable person upon whom many depended. She was always smiling and happy even when facing many hardships. She was a person who advocated for herself and others. Tina never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone if she could. Tina’s hobbies included cooking and trying new recipes, playing bingo, dominoes and games on her cellphone, watching soap operas, learning new tech gadgets, volunteering, listening to gospel and old school music, traveling, catching up with family and friends, creating funny filters/FaceTime with her granddaughter, and online shopping.

Tina loved her fur baby, Love, with whom she spent quite a bit of time. Love was her dog’s name because she loved people just like Tina.

Survivors include one daughter, Natalie (Spencer) Ragsdale of Kansas City, KS, one son, Ivan J. Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO, one granddaughter, Imani Johnson, two sisters, IdaMae Ware of Junction City, KS, Mary Grismore of Fort Worth, TX, and two brothers, Edward R. Johnson II of Junction City, KS, and James (Olivia) Johnson of Tacoma, WA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates, neighbors, and friends.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Annie Higgins, two brothers, Michael L. Johnson, Leroy “Sonny” Nelson, and one brother-in-law, Ernest Grismore.
