WABAUNSEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday in Wabaunsee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Chrysler 300 driven by Kayla F. Pennington, 34, Independence, Missouri, was eastbound on Interstate 70 twelve miles west of Topeka.
The car left the roadway from the ramp at Ranch Road. It traveled in the ditch for approximately 500 feet, traveled off a drop off and rolled onto its roof.
EMS transported Pennington and a passenger Curtis L Metro, 53, Spring Hill, Kansas, to Stormont Vail. Both were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
