Dorothy Woellhof, 93 died July 20, 2022, in Clay Center, KS. She was born on January 17, 1929 in Aurora, KS the daughter of Charles and Rosa (Bliss) Demanett. Dorothy was raised in the Aurora community before moving to Clay Center in 1947. She worked at the Swift Egg Plant and Sunflower Café before moving to Salina in 1950. There, she met and married Melvin Woellhof on October 29, 1950. They returned to Clay Center and Dorothy took a job as the cook for Garfield School. She retired from school food service in 1992. Melvin preceded her in death on December 29, 2007. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in bowling leagues in Clay Center for over 40 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters and 7 brothers.
