MANHATTAN —The Riley County Police department worked three traffic accidents Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 1:30p.m. officers responded to Sunset Avenue and Claflin Road. A 2008 Ford F250 driven by a Nelsa Beckman, 22, of Manhattan had struck a 2004 Ford F250 driven by a Steven Bishop, 42, of Manhattan.
There were no injuries. Beckman was issued a Notice to Appear for failure to yield.
Just before 5:30p.m., police responded to an injury accident near the intersection of W 59th Avenue and Tuttle Creek Blvd.
According to Riley County Police, a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by Hayden Smith, 16, of Manhattan struck a 2001 Ford F150 driven by Noah Frese, 15, of Manhattan causing it to roll over. There were no serious injuries reported.
Just after 5:30 p.m. police responded to the intersection of N 16th Street and Anderson Avenue after a 2019 Kia Forte driven by Makiah Akin, 19, of Manhattan struck a Subaru Legacy driven by Joel Waage, 40, of Manhattan.
There were no injuries reported. Akin was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way, according to the RCPD.
