NORTON COUNTY —A Washington County Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 12:30a.m. Sunday in northwest Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Equinox driven by Alex J. Conn, 27, Greanleaf, was northbound on 1st Avenue at Main Street in Norton.
The SUV sideswiped a parked 2005 Peterbilt semi, continued northbound, crossing West Main Street, crossed the center line and struck a utility pole on the West side of 1st Avenue.
EMS transported Conn to the Norton County Hospital. He was also not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
