Shirley Marie Scripter, 84 died December 18, 2021, in Clay Center, KS. She was born on November 2, 1937, in Longford, the daughter of Martin and Ava (Matteson) Livengood. Shirley raised on a farm in the Longford community and was a graduate of Longford High School. She married Donald Scripter on January 27, 1957. They farmed in the Longford area before moving to a farm in the Morganville community. Shirley was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church and was a leader for 4-H and Girl Scouts for many years. Don and Shirley have made their home in Clay Center since 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Duane.
