A bridge replacement project on Willard Road in Wabaunsee County is scheduled to begin Wednesday, weather permitting. The bridge spans Mill Creek and is located approximately one mile east of Maple Hill.

Willard Road will be closed at the worksite for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete by July 2023. No marked detour will be provided so drivers will need to find alternate routes.

A.M. Cohron &amp; Sons Inc. of Atlantic, Iowa, is the $1.8 million project’s prime contractor. The Kansas Department of Transportation will oversee the project.&nbsp;
