Face masks, physical distancing become optional on KSU campuses

Kansas State University announced that effective Wednesday, June 2, the university will change the face covering and physical distancing guidance.

Face coverings and physical distancing are optional for all individuals on K-State campuses and at university events. Unvaccinated students, faculty and staff who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to do so.

Masking and physical distancing requirements remain in effect for the following groups and settings:

  1. Lafene Health Center and other patient-facing settings.
  2. University shuttles due to Department of Transportation policy.
