Veterans Day events in Manhattan on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The American Legion, Pearce-Keller Post No. 17 will host a Veterans Day breakfast from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Details can be found here.
The Veterans Day Parade in Manhattan starts at 9:30 am at the Manhattan Town Center and proceeds west down Poyntz Avenue to City Park.
Following the parade, at approximately 11:00 am, the Ceremony of Honor will be held in Peace Memorial Auditorium inside City Hall at 1101 Poyntz Avenue
Special guest speaker for the 2022 event is United States Air Force, Retired Colonel Leroy Stutz. Stutz is a Vietnam veteran and former POW.
Riley County Seniors' Service Center will host US Navy, (Ret.) Commander Carlton G. Philpot as guest speaker at 1:00 pm at the Riley County Seniors' Service Center located at 301 N. 4th Street in Manhattan.
