MANHATTAN, KS (June 29, 2021) – Bev-Hub, a beverage co-packer, celebrated its grand opening Tuesday afternoon with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at its new Manhattan plant. The ribbon cutting will include remarks from Governor Kelly as well as several local leaders.

Bev-Hub specializes in producing shelf stable beverages such as cold brew coffees, teas, waters and energy drinks. They focused their business model after discovering the strong need for better beverage co-packers just three years ago.

“Initially we specialized in cold brew coffees and lattes,” said Dan McDonald, Founder and CEO of Bev-Hub. “But we quickly learned we could apply many of the same processing techniques towards other beverage categories such as teas, energy drinks, and even cocktail mixers – opening up many new opportunities.”

McDonald says Manhattan is a great fit for their new facility. Kansas State University is a resource for BevHub.

The Bev-Hub team produces and fills aluminum cans as well as aluminum bottles for a large variety of clients including national and global brands. Bev-Hub’s pilot facility in Wichita, KS filled roughly 3 million cans last year. The Manhattan facility will fill more than 41 times that volume – up to 125 million cans during its first full production year.

Bev-Hub will fill a pronounced gap in the beverage co-packing industry and continue to rapidly grow, bringing continued economic growth to Manhattan. As production increases, so will the number of Bev-Hub employees. Bev-Hub estimates roughly 37 new, full-time team members will be needed to run the facility and additional team members will be added as the operation continues to grow.
