MANHATTAN - The Kansas World Language Association(KSWLA) has elected Mrs. Carmen Elizabeth Wilson as the 2023-2024 Vice President.
Wilson teaches Spanish at Manhattan High School.
As Vice President, Wilson will serve a three-year term which includes a learning year as Vice President, a conference-planning year as President and a year fulfilling mentor duties as Past President.
In this role, Wilson will provide advocacy for world languages, leadership skills, and make connections with leaders across the state and country.
“We are pleased to have Mrs. Wilson as part of our organization and we look forward to all that she will bring to KSWLA as a part of our Executive Board,” said KSWLA President Dr. Marta Silva.
The KSWLA is an organization of World Language and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teachers and advocates dedicated to promoting and teaching world languages and cultures. They also support and advocate for languages and language education at the local, state, regional, and national levels
