RCPD: Suspect stole debit card, went shopping at Dillons

MANHATTAN —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a report of alleged fraud in Manhattan.

Just after 8a.m. Saturday, police filed a report for criminal use of a financial card and theft in the 1000 block of N. 5th Street in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department Activity Report.

Officers listed Dillons, Navy Federal Credit Union, and a 28-year-old man as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect entered a car and stole a Fossil wallet and a Sony A6400 Digital Camera, then used a debit card from the stolen wallet at Dillons.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,580.00.
