Food and nutrition have a significant impact on health, and as such, farmers' markets have a large impact on the community and its ability to have access to fresh and healthy food.
Konza Prairie Community Health Center will give out $25 Fruit and Vegetable Vouchers to Konza patients. The action is being made possible with funding provided by the Manhattan Community Foundation. Patients receiving services at Konza in Manhattan are eligible to receive the voucher. Services include immunizations, healthy dental checks and school physicals.
You can redeem the vouchers at the Downtown Farmer's Market located in the Dillard's parking lot at 3rd & Leavenworth in Manhattan. The Downtown Farmers' Market is held at that location between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Just bring the voucher to the information.
