RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect in connection with multiple alleged crimes
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, just before 2:30a.m. Oct. 4, a 23-year-old suspect fled a traffic stop at 12th Street and Bluemont Avenue. The suspect's vehicle nearly struck a law enforcement officer. The vehicle eventually disabled.
Jared Espinoza, 23, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on requested charges of flee or attempt to elude, aggravated assault, reckless driving, driving under the influence, interference with a law enforcement officer, driving while suspended and violation of restrictions on driver’s license or permit. Espinoza is being held without bond.
