The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that K-177 work continues for phase 2 of reconstruction for approximately 13.5 miles; K-177 remains closed from the north side of the K-4 junctions, continuing north to I-70.
Following delays in bridge construction, the contractor has rescheduled the reopening of K-177 to November 22, weather permitting.
Through traffic can follow the state detour from Council Grove to Herington to Junction City (See attached map).
Wildcat Construction Co. Inc. and Subsidiaries of Wichita is the primary contractor for this $52.3 million project.
