Kansas man hospitalized after crash blamed on fog

RILEY COUNTY—A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 7a.m. Thursday in Riley County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Ford F150 driven by Patrick Craig Johnson, 63, Manhattan,  was westbound on Sherman Road six miles south of Randolph. 

The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 77 due to foggy conditions and struck a northbound 2011 Ford F550 driven by Reves, Daniel John Reves, 50, Westmoreland. After impact, the F550 entered the east ditch and overturned.

EMS transported Reves to Via Christi in Manhattan. Johnson was not transported for treatment. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
