Anna Gayle (Piland) Robson, 68 of Abilene passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Salina Regional Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1955 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Hugh and Charlotte Piland.
Anna grew up in Manhattan, Kansas, moving to Abilene to spend her High School years where she met the love of her life, Mike Robson. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1973. She then attended Emporia State University then to Kansas State University and graduated from there in 1977.
On July 15, 1978 she was united in marriage to Mike Robson. Anna worked at her husband’s dental office for several years before residing at home. She was a member of the philanthropic organization, PEO.
Anna is survived by her only child, daughter, Carey Jones (Derek), her granddaughter, Kenlee. Brother, Steve Piland (Karen). Father -in-law, Robert Robson. Brother-in-law, Pat (Sue) Robson. Nieces, Tracy Piland (Nick), Natalie Lackey (Ryan), Emily Nusser (Justin), Sally Robson and nephew, Jeremy Piland. She is preceded in death by her High School sweetheart and husband, Mike Robson. Her parents Hugh and Charlotte Piland, and mother-in-law, Anne Robson.
Anna enjoyed traveling on many vacations with her husband especially to Kansas State bowl games and Cabo San Lucas, MX. Many vacations also included dear friends that were considered family. Anna wore many hats but her proudest was being a Grandma. She was a sassy woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. If you were a loved one of hers, you knew it because she never missed a chance to tell the ones she loved, “I love you” at every chance she got.
