MANHATTAN - Around 6:30 pm on December 13th, Riley County Police officers arrested 30-year-old Crystal Jaimez of Manhattan in connection with a two vehicle injury crash from Sunday.
Jaimez was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery in connection with a crash near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Blvd. and Allen Rd.
Jaimez failed to stop at a red light and struck a 2004 Honda Element driven by Jonas T. Staedtler, 17, Manhattan, who was turning onto Allen Road. After impact, the Honda came to rest on the East shoulder of the northbound lanes of U.S. 24 against a light pole.
Jaimez remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $75,000.
