Dale D. Krouse, 92, a lifelong resident of Westmoreland, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday (January 23, 2024) at the Home of the Flint Hills in St. George, Kansas.
Born July 15, 1931 in Westmoreland, Dale was the 7th child born to Ernest and Mary (Zabel) Krouse. He was a 1950 graduate of Westmoreland High School.
An avid outdoorsman, Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, feeding the squirrels and watching the birds at the farm. In later years after retirement, he enjoyed checking out the progress on the farm in his Kubota. Dale cared about his community and had served for over 40 years on the Rock Creek #45 Watershed and with his brother Donald, founded the Krouse Family Ag Scholarship at Rock Creek High School to further agriculture education for future generations.
Dale was a lifelong farmer and rancher in Westmoreland.
Survivors include a brother, Richard Krouse (Joyce) of Reading, MA; a sister, Minnie Bradshaw of Phoenix, AZ; a sister in law, Jean Krouse of Westmoreland, KS; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Krouse was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond Krouse, Oscar Krouse, Gilbert Krouse and Donald Krouse; and three sisters, Agnes Whitworth, Eunice Ruse and Betty Berens.
Friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday evening (January 28, 2024) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
Private graveside services will be held in Westmoreland City Cemetery.
